DOROTHY DIETRICH

"One of the most noted magicians of the late 20th century."
Columbia Encyclopedia, Columbia University Press.

Each of our school assembly programs drive home the importance of the main keys to character ... trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, citizenship.

People often ask us how we can get such well known performers for our school assembly shows. Our school assembly program booking company is School Programs of America, that has been presenting shows in schools since 1955. This is over 50 years experience in the field. We have special arrangements with our performers. In this case the money paid goes to the non-profit Houdini Museum, that she has founded. She has agreed to perform for school assemblies for less than half her usual fee, to help support the museum. Her home base in the Pocono-Poconos-Scranton-Wilkes Barre area of North East Pennsylvania, which keeps her in driving distance of her home town of Erie, Pennsylvania.

She was first inspired to become a magician after she saw one perform at a school assembly program. A great fun motivational magic show. She tells the true story of being told as a youngster, "Girls can't do magic." She visited every lbrary in town looking up books on magic and perserviered. She is now considered one of the world's leading female entertainers. She has traveled the world to such places as Hollywood, Puerto Rico, Las Vegas, Florida, New York, London Quebec and Montreal and has appeared on hundreds of TV shows. An inspiring story for both girls and boys who are often rebuffed and bullied out of their dreams.

These prices are only for schools in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and Connecticut

We can tell you tens of thousands of words about this entertainer, but as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words....so here are a few pictures from some of here national and other appearances. Youngsters often recognize her the moment she steps on stage.

The following are actual live action telephoto shots taken by a newspaper photographer during a show.
